About Carolyn Armstrong

Carolyn takes her love of fact finding and traveling the world to write stories which children relate to as they learn. Her debut, middle-grade novel, BECAUSE OF KHALID, from Tiger Stripe Publishing, was inspired while on safari in Tanzania, Africa.

A lover of all animals (except creepy crawlies and things that sting), Carolyn fosters an elephant named Galla through the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, because Galla reminded her of Flimsy, the fictional elephant in BECAUSE OF KHALID.

A member of SCBWI-Illinois, Carolyn lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband, twin sons and Tucker, a rescue dog.
